This workflow activity gives you properties of a datetime that you can’t get from CRM, things like the day of the week, or the month of the year.
Usage Examples:
- You want to set a reminder for today + 15 days, but if it’s a Sunday then add an extra day
- Easily compare date parts in Check conditions (if date part month equals November…)

Day of Month | Whole Number | The day of the month, from 1 – 31 |
Day of Year | Whole Number | The day of the year, from 1 – 366. This is useful if you need to know the ordinal/Julian date for government work. |
Month of Year (1 – 12) | Whole Number | The number of the month |
Month of Year (Option Set) | Option Set | The month of year as an Option Set; best used in Check conditions. January – December |
Month of Year (Name) | Text | The month of year as text; best used for displaying the month. |
Year | Whole Number | A number representing the year part of the date. |
Hour of the Day (0 – 23) | Whole Number | A number representing the hour part of the date. |
Minute | Whole Number | A number representing the minute part of the date. |
